Radiation Regulations 2017 - How they affect your dental practice
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) recently contacted all Victorian registered dentists to invite them to participate in a consultation process on the proposed Radiation Regulations 2017. These regulations will replace the Radiation Regulations 2007.
These regulations determine the licensing conditions for radiation sources. The proposed regulations are very similar to those already in place, and there are few impacts expected for dentistry, with the major changes being to fee structures.
The ADAVB is preparing a submission to this consultation on behalf of members, and we invite member input. Please refer to an ADAVB Member Update email sent to all practising members on 15 June, review the DHHS Documents for Public Comment webpage, and send your comments to ask@adavb.org by Monday 26 June.
