TGA transparency review released

The Federal Government today released the report of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Transparency Review panel, chaired by Professor Dennis Pearce. Last November the Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Ageing, Catherine King, commissioned a comprehensive review of the way in which the TGA communicates its regulatory processes and decisions. The review aims to improve the organisation’s communication and transparency. With the Consumers Health Forum pressing for speedy implementation of the report’s recommendations, the Government will now consider its formal response.
