Dentists reach out to remote Mallee communities

A number of dentists are preparing to take part in a unique program which will take oral care to northern Mallee communities using a fully equipped mobile dental unit. Their preparation for the Mobile Dental Care Program will start with a day-long training session to be held in South Yarra on 13 October. Places are still available for dentists to register for the session. The program is the result of a partnership between the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Dental Health Services Victoria and ADAVB. Health Minister Mr David Davis (left) is shown here inspecting the mobile dental van with Dr Martin Hall who established an outreach dental program at Robinvale’s Murray Valley Aboriginal Cooperative.
