New Human Services Minister

The Australian Dental Association Inc. congratulated Senator.Jan McLucas (pictured) on her appointment as Minister for Human Services. Her appointment to the portfolio follows Senator Kim Carr’s resignation from Cabinet.

ADA said it looks forward to engaging with Minister McLucas and hopes she will work closely with the dental profession to ensure that the Government’s $2.7 billion Grow Up Smiling child dental benefits scheme is designed in a manner that is administratively efficient and does not impose arbitrary red tape. The ADA is ready to work with the Government to ensure that Grow Up Smiling’s reporting requirements reflect the service delivery model of dentistry.
