Federal Shadow Health Minister announced

Ms Catherine King (left), the Federal Member for Ballarat, is the Shadow Health Minister.

"Having worked in this portfolio as Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Ageing under former Ministers Roxon and Plibersek, I have a strong understanding of the health priorities of the community and the sector’s stakeholders," she said. Ms King stressed her interest in dental care.

The Assistant Shadow Minister for Health is Ms Melissa Parke (Member for Fremantle).

Former Health Minister and now Deputy Opposition Leader, Ms Tanya Plibersek, takes on Foreign Affairs and International Development in the new line-up announced by Labor Leader Mr Bill Shorten.
