Composition of oral health expert panel announced

The 10-members of the newly formed Oral Health Advisory Panel have been announced.

They include dentists, academics leading research into improving dental health, public health advisors, the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation, and dental and oral health therapists.

The panel – the first of its kind in Australia – aims to lead discussions on good oral health habits and the importance of establishing these habits at an early age.

ADA’s Federal President, Dr Karin Alexander, said: “There are synergies with the panel’s overriding aim of taking a holistic approach and the focus of the ADA.  We look forward to supporting the panel’s work to help improve the oral health of all Australians”.
