Small Budget boost for Victorian public dental services

The Victorian Government is congratulated for increasing the dental budget but dental health services will be pressed to cope with the ballooning population.
Dental health services have been boosted by $9.8 million to $164.3 million. The number of people to be treated for the year is 331,000.
However with the State population last year growing by 2.2% and Melbourne increasing by roughly 100,000 people a year, the targeted waiting time for dental care of 23 months may be in jeopardy.
