December quarter CPI up 0.4%

The Consumer Price Index rose 0.4% in the December quarter 2010, compared with a rise of 0.7% in the September quarter. CPI rose in all capital cities with the highest positive movement recorded in Melbourne – 0.6%.
Dental services were up 3.5% over the 12 months.
The CPI rose 2.7% through the year to December quarter, compared with a rise of 2.8% through the year to the September quarter.
