Board approves conscious sedation guidelines

Details of the March meeting of the Dental Board of Australia have been released. Of particular interest is the Board approving the final version of the Guidelines on Conscious Sedation Area of Practice Endorsement. The Guidelines will be published on the Board’s website in coming weeks.
The Board also discussed:

• Revising the Guidelines on Supervision Roles and Responsibilities of the Supervisor and requirements of a Supervision Plan and Supervision Report
• Endorsement in relation to acupuncture
• When it is necessary to be Registered Guidelines
• Expert Reference Group – Therapeutics
• Social Media Policy
