International recognition for La Trobe oral health program

La Trobe University has received a prestigious US award for participation in an oral health program in Nepal. The university was chosen by the Institute of International Education for the Heiskell Award Special Recognition for an outstanding initiative.  The university’s oral health program is part of the Buddhi Bangara Project run by senior lecturer Ron Knevel. The program offers students the opportunity to participate in a two-week placement in Nepal. (Pictured is Alison Thomas, last year, sharing experiences with Nepalese dental hygiene students.)
