Research carried out by the campaign group found that supermarket company ASDA’s Tropical Juice From Concentrate contains 13g of sugar per 100ml, and Tescos Smoothie Snack for Kids contains 16.1g of sugar per 100ml.
The survey looked specifically at juices that were aimed at children or marketed as lunchbox-friendly.
In Australia, Rethink Sugary Drink conducts a similar campaign against sugar-loaded drinks. (The Australian Dental Association supports this campaign.)
