New Federal Health Minister

The Australian Dental Association has congratulated the new Federal Health Minister, Ms Sussan Ley, on her appointment. She brings a lifetime of experiences from outside politics, three finance degrees and 13 years in Federal Parliament to her portfolio.

Prior to her elevation to the Inner Cabinet, she was the Assistant Minister for Education.

Based in Albury as the Member for the sprawling seat of Farrar, Ms Ley replaces Mr Peter Dutton, who in the pre-Christmas Cabinet reshuffle, was appointed Minister for Immigration and Border Security.
