Direct dental care to those most in need - ADA
The Australian Dental Association today presented its pre-Budget submission to the Treasurer, Mr Swan. ADA’s submission notes that health spending costs have continued to rise as a proportion of GDP, due in no small part to societal expectations, the increasing burden of disease, the ageing population and the costs of new and developing technology.
This year’s Budget must contain dental health expenditure at responsible levels - the best way to do this is to direct resources to those most in need and encourage people to take ownership of their own dental health and well-being, ADA says.
