Child oral health survey coming to a school near you
Thousands of Victorian school students will
take part in a statewide survey of their oral health. Data from the survey will also feed into a National study.
Announced
by the Minister for Health, The Hon. David Davis, the survey will assess the
oral health status of Victorian children and help shape the future of
Victoria’s dental healthcare system.
The ADAVB welcomes the initiative, and says government investment in surveying children will assist in targeted oral health promotion and service delivery.

Dental practices may receive referrals from this exercise, as the screening examinations done for survey purposes will identify the need for treatment of a number of children.
