Challenging Victoria's alcohol culture
ADAVB is supporting VicHealth’s No Excuse Needed campaign, which aims to influence Victoria’s alcohol culture by challenging perceived social norms around drinking.
Over the New Year and summer period, the No Excuse Needed campaign is targeting young Victorians (16 – 29) who often find they drink more than they wanted or planned to, because they found it hard to say no to another drink.
VicHealth research shows that the majority of Victorians view alcohol positively, and see it as an important part of many social occasions and events. Over half (56%) of Victorians agree that having a few drinks is a great way of meeting new people.
