International role for ADA Past President
The ADA Inc. has announced that Associate Professor Neil Hewson, who is Immediate Past President of ADA and a past President of the ADA Victorian Branch, has been elected as Speaker of the General Assembly of the FDI World Dental Federation at its annual World Dental Parliament in Mexico City last week.
In this role, Associate Professor Hewson will preside at all meetings of the General Assembly of the World Dental Parliament – representing about 200 national dental associations and specialist groups - to ensure the smooth running of proceedings and to facilitate delegate participation in important worldwide oral health issues.
A/Prof Hewson is only the second Australian to hold this position.
