What do you have planned for Dental Health Week?

Dental Health Week (5–11 August) is nearly here. What do you have planned?
If you’re scratching your head wondering how you can get involved, here are just a few ideas:
1. Volunteer in oral cancer screening
The ADA is working with Throat Scope to offer free screenings in selected Victorian pharmacies. We’re looking for members to be involved in this important oral cancer screening activity in a voluntary capacity, which could facilitate early detection and potentially save lives.
Screening will also enable brief identification of other oral health issues for follow up.
This activity will take place from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 10 August 2019 at 10 pharmacies.
Express your interest or enquire by 29 July.

2. Host a Tea for Teeth
Host a morning tea 'Tea for Teeth' to raise money to help eviDent Foundation continue its valuable research to improve the oral health of Australians. Register on the eviDent website and receive everything you need for you to hold your Tea for Teeth event.
By hosting a Tea for Teeth, you’re taking a sip towards making a difference to the oral and dental health of Australians.
3. Use the ADA resources
Use the Dental Health Week website and associated resources to help start conversations with your patients and the wider community about keeping track of their oral health and making it a high priority.
Visit www.ada.org.au/Dental-Health-Week/Resources to download fact sheets, posters, an event handbook and digital resources you can use.
4. Spread the message
Share Dental Health Week messages on social media. And if you’re running an event, take some photos, post them and tag us @ausdentalvic on Instagram and Facebook. Use the hashtags #dentalhealthweek #helpingvictorianssmile and we’ll share the photos for you as well! If you have high-resolution photos, send them to comms@adavb.org and we may feature them in Victorian Dentist.
Please make sure that you have the consent of your patients and staff before sharing photos of them.
